Introduction

I'm a stake president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  In the church congregations are called Wards (or Branches).  Each ward has a Bishop who is assisted by two counselors.  As a stake president I preside over several wards.  I'm very busy with my employment, family and church responsibilities, but I thought I might start a blog in order to record some of my experiences.  Feel free to make comments and ask questions.  I do not speak for the Church, but would be happy to share my thoughts from time to time.

It would have been helpful for those in your interviews to have known this.

  3. Just a quick question: is this blog for real (or is it a joke), and do these writings represent your sincere beliefs?

  6. President Paternoster, I would love to hear about some of your experiences and challenges with respect to getting missionaries out into the field, particularly those who might be struggling but have good potential. My son is nearing that age, and I want to be able to offer his support and guidance.

Another topic I would love your thoughts on is how parents should handle their children with same-sex attraction.

Thanks, I love your blog. It strengthens my faith to know that good men like you are at the helm, and that you are led and guided by our inspired church manuals.

  8. As a former member of the LDS Cult...I mean church, I look forward to reading up on the church doctrines through your blog. Much like itunes, I know that the church needs continual updating and clarification. I will count on you to be my technical support.

  10. Dear blog owner,

out of the many stakes in the United Kingdom, I could not find you in the directory of leaders on LDS.ORG
In fact, I could not find anyone under the name of "Paternoster" worldwide.

Please, tell us in wich stake you preside. If not, this will be considered as a fraud.

  11. Folks, this website is a complete hoax and simple mocks the LDS church and the gospel of Christ.

How pathetic that someone would spend so much time in this type of an effort.

  12. Folks, the claims of Joseph Smith are a complete hoax and mocks the simple gospel taught by the Lord Jesus Christ.

How pathetic that someone would spend so much time and money in the pointless efforts demanded by the LDS church.

  14. To those who don't know, this blog is most certainly NOT (NOT!) run by an LDS stake president.

    Sincerely,
A regular member of the church

  15. Small nit. Shouldn't it be "President's" blog (apostrophe possessive?) in the blogger title?

Otherwise, very funny site. I'm a NEVERMO but as a Christian evangelist TO Mormons, I speak a little Mormonese. Still, I'll bet (which I know now I'm not supposed to do) that 50% of the jokes go over my unconsecrated head.

Perhaps the President will comment on how the Gentiles make fun of Mitt Romney and the Church as he runs for President, as in this song on youtube: youtu.be/9SesRjKOYHA, and how that strengthens the President's faith in the one true church.
