A Warning to the Apostate Saints of Europe

As a Stake President nothing disappoints me more than to see those who have left the Church writing blogs and using other public forums to speak ill of the restored gospel and its anointed leaders.

At my prompting Erich W. Kopische, Europe Area President sent a letter to Church leaders in which we included the solemn warning from the manual of instructions that “priesthood leaders may need to take disciplinary action with those members who persist in publicly opposing the Church and its leaders after they have been lovingly worked with and corrected by their bishop or higher authority”.

This message goes along perfectly with this month’s Ensign *article on restoring religious freedom by Church Apostle Quentin L. Cook.  In it he explains that “If we fail to diligently protect religious freedom, we risk diminishing other important freedoms that are important both to society and to us.”

One person who needs to be lovingly corrected and severely disciplined is a British member named Christopher Ralph.  Brother Ralph not only posts the letter that was intended for those of us in anointed positions of authority but attempts to rip apart the very logic given in the letter.  As a baptized member of the Church brother Ralph ought to be ashamed of himself.  He is setting a very poor example of sustaining Church leaders to fellow ward members and more importantly to his posterity, which includes his very distraught daughter Sophia.

In an effort to both follow the manual of instructions and protect the religious freedoms that Elder Cook is speaking of Brother Ralph and like minded individuals need to be silenced.

To see the effect Satan can have over those who find fault with Church leaders feel free to click on the below link:

With lovingly concern,

President Paternoster

You are so right, President Paternoster. Priesthood leaders need to step up to the plate and silence any members who get out of line! By presenting views and evidence which conflict with official Mormon doctrine, history, and policies, such members interfere with our mission, and should be decisively stopped and disciplined by the proper religious authorities.

We are thankful for the religious freedom in America that allows us to proclaim the truth of Mormonism to the world.

Quentin L. Cook? More like Quentin L. Crook, given his activities in California.

President Paternoster thank you for bringing this to light, this Chris Ralph sounds like he needs to be dealt with soon before he starts asking the Priesthood leaders to apologise for so called racism, sexism and homosexuality within the Lords One True Church! How dare he! Keep the Faith President.

I have personally known Brother Ralph all my life and it saddens me to see that he now chooses integrity over loyalty to the church.

I think you may need to speak to him about the importance of lying for the Lord.

God has taught us to search out all things. I am not afraid of my family or friends searching anything against Christianity because I know Jesus Christ can stand up to the test. When there are things to hide in any institution, such as in the Mormon Church, that institution must fear being found out and therefore discourages the revealing of their history. The coverup must be extremely exhausting. Truth sets you free! Truth is also always revealed. The coverup will not last for long! Christ has already overcome everything!

**NOTE TO THE READER OF THIS BLOG**

President Paternoster is a man of God, and acting in accordance with Gospel principles, seeking to spread wisdom and gospel truths. Many, but not necessarily all, of the posts written come from direct revelation, and are intended to bring imperfect souls unto Christ.

Caveat utilitor.

he is obviously not a true follower of the lord if this is the way he is going on!!!! how dare you hypocrites suggest raplh needs to be punished when all he's done is speak his own mind, which i might add is nothing against the church, half of what this 'so-called' president said is rubbish anyway as i personally know chris' daughter!! don't get me wrong the mormon church prreaches good whloesome teachings but some of it is hard to understand and some of it isn't always believeable, but people like you are the reason the church hasn't got more followers then it has!!! jesus teaches honesty, forgiveness, not severe punishment and needing to be dealt with if some one steps out of line!! how about you go about being real mormons and stop attacking this man!

Are you afraid your church can't take legitimate scrutiny? If your church is as you say it is, God inspired, then you have nothing to worry about. God will deal with all who oppose him. You don't need to do anything more.

But if your founding prophet Joseph Smith was a con man and you are living a lie, bowing to a false God, walking in a false priesthood, teaching a false Christ who can't save, you are in for some serious trouble for God watches over his word. When he says there is no God beside him, you might want to accept that rather than pretend you are becoming a God because you went through a Masonic-like ritual.

Thank you for having the courage akin to the leaders of the past to stand up to, and name & shame the likes of this Ralph character. It people like him that threaten the foundations of this great corporation. If people in the church find out about the actual real history, it can massive impact upon the general membership as well as the knock on effects to the families of those impacted. As you rightly note about this brothers own poor daughter, Sophia, who I notice not only finds herself now reling upon the arm of secularist education, but also seems to have an unhealthy obsession with the subject of death. And we all know who is the father and bringer of death into this world. Oh brother Ralph, what have you done!?!?

I have known Brother Ralph for a great many years and also his daughter Sophia who has suffered so much in all this. Only recently she was telling me that her father had taken to studying things out in his mind and asking God if these things are true. It seems he has come to trust his relationship with God above what he is told to think by church authorities. Faithful Mormons know there is real spiritual danger in taking the scriptures which talk of these things too seriously. Safety lies in accepting what the church says regardless of all other considerations. Brigham Young said the Sun is inhabited so I know that it is. One day the scientists who claim that is not possible will be proved wrong. If Brother Ralph could be brought to understand this then any problems in accepting Joseph Smith as a true Prophet would disappear quicker than you could say "Fanny Algar".

"Nephi" of New - yeah that is my real name said...

OK, so taking it too seriously is what not to do and follow blindly is what to do. I'll remember that next time I have a word with my church leaders. That precisely what the Scriptures say don't do. I'll remember not to take the word of wisdom too seriously since most members don't anyway. And then I'll listen to the fact that prophets said no man will ever go to the moon and that tall Quaker style folk live up there. those scientists sure were proved wrong. Fanny Algae, sounds like a good aka for Bob. Some members I think post on forums without any logic hence why we get stupid comments that have tragic consequences on members because they follow advice such as Bob's.

obviously none of you who have commented are true mormons then (only aimed at those who defend this pathetic article)... i can't honestly believe you can JUDGE a family for doing there own thing! maybe you all have an unhealthy obsession that you're right and no one else is! i'll say it again, you people are the reason the church get's so much stick! you are just as bad as each other, you all disgust me, i think you should go to your priesthood and tell them that you are a judgemental person and YOU'RE the ones who need to be forgiven not chris and his daughter, who may be studing a different subject to what you would do, it's a fact this happens in the world so why not study it!!!!

There is a difference between speaking your mind and trying to tare down the religious freedom of others. To purposely post things that were meant only for the leaders of the church, any church, is just wrong and a sign of childish rebellion. If this person’s priesthood authorities have already followed the Church Handbook by lovingly working with and correcting him with no progress then they have no other choice then to proceed with appropriate disciplinary action.

I think that freedom of religion is vitally important so that the work of the Lord can grow and people can be converted to the one and only true church of God.

Once a person has made covenants to the church, they have given up their rights of individual opinion and dissent as a holy offering of righteousness. They have chosen to be servants to their mighty master.

Why should someone that has finally found and joined the one true church be allowed to tear down the holy work of God? Nay, they should not be allowed to perform the dark works of Satan. What does the Holy Bible tell us to do to those that oppose God's mighty works? They are to be silenced and destroyed!

stevie said...

that makes you no better in the first place! plus it was actually the writer of this blog that made the letter public! chris ralph never once took down the religious freedom of others, you guys need to get your head out the sand... what kind of people seek to destroy those who's opinion differs from theirs? you obviously, and ralph only ever sought integrity, if you have actually read everything. not everything is perfect and neither is your beloved church!

why's this? ooo shock horror it's been deleted! because he stood up to your load of crap? nice one, real mature.

Hey, "September 2 @2:13pm," get your own moniker!

*** NOTE TO THE READER OF THIS BLOG ***

This is NOT a website sanctioned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nor is "President Paternoster" a stake president within the Church. Rather, the content of this site varies from farce to pointed criticism [which is, at times, painfully accurate].

Many, but not necessarily all, of the posts are written in mockery of those who are sincerely striving, albeit imperfectly, to follow Jesus.

Caveat utilitor.

Ann Gidion;

Can you prove that President Paternoster is not a true Stake President of the Church? No you can't!

For this reason you must accept the reality of it. We know that God exists because no one has been unable to prove otherwise.

Anything is true as long as you have a desire to believe, work on believing, and no one proves you wrong to your satisfaction. (See Alma)

I know that President Paternoster is a true Stake President of the Church for the same reasons that I know the Church is true. The burden of proof is on you. You must accept it if you can't prove otherwise.

Do not kick against the pricks! You could injure someone.

I, for one, believe we should stand up for Judeo-Christian values as set forth in the Bible. Such as: stoning children who disobey their parents; killing those who do not believe as we believe; and attacking and destroying our enemies, keeping only the unmarried women and girls for ourselves.

How could anyone possibly object to values like these? If you do, I have the first stone, and I know how to use it.

You are quite right President to draw attention to what these so-called Saints in Britain are doing. I am British myself, President, and it fills me with shame that a fellow countryman should be so disloyal to the true church as to raise these petty objections to the Book of Abraham, that could lead members astray. I think the fault lies in Britain's membership of the European Union. our country is taking on more and more effete European attitudes. Of particular concern to me is that we now have someone who was born as an East German in the first Presidency of the Church. I do hope that President Packer and the Quorum of the Twelve were careful enough to have their friends in the CIA check him out carefully before he was called to the First presidency. Can you imagine what would happen if a closet communist should ever become President, Prophet, seer and Revelator!

But I think agree with this. Ad hominem attacks such as this make me feel very uncomfortable. I worry that this came from a Stake President.

Brother Ralph is doing more to restore religious freedom than the rest of the leaders at LDS Corp. I was once a very active member. At just the age of 21 (or maybe it was 22 - I am now 29), I was a temple ordinance worker in the Adelaide Temple. It took a lot of experiences over a long period of time that led me to the truth that the church is incredibly uninspired and "revelation" certainly is not coming from God. I was the ward clerk and appalled at how struggling members were treated and shamed. I served my mission in Japan and again was appalled at the emphasis on numbers and how many young girls in the past had been baptised and now didn't even realise they were members of the church. I was appalled that an Area President would call a special mission conference and tell an incredible group of volunteers, paying their way, that they were all sinners and the reason why there were so few baptism and needed to all repent or we would see no further success (of course it had nothing to do with the fact that the people just weren't interested). The manipulation that goes on in the church is astoundingly appalling! I am very disappointed now to see the church change its views on many issues that I studied so tirelessly and had been taught as doctrine, that are now being overturned and called opinions and theories (just admit you got it wrong). People have a right to religious freedom - to be able to worship god (whoever/whatever that may be) without fear, deceit and manipulation!
